History
* AFOSI Surveillance Equipment Update Project
Working with Applied Network Security, LLC at Keesler AFB, Motex Corporation installed, configured, and tested new Panasonic and Dell brand networked surveillance equipment, including both rack mounted and client side hardware.

* NAVO Certification & Accreditation
The objective of this project was to provide NAVO with a completed certification package based on the DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP), as defined under DoDI 5200.40, for NAVO Automated Information Systems. The certification was divided into 2 separate certification efforts based on the NAVO AIS architecture. The first certification effort was essentially a site certification which included only the shore-based components of the NAVO architecture located at the Stennis Space Center. The second certification will be implemented at a later date after the OIS matures. This will be performed as a type certification one of the eight Navy oceanographic survey ships which have their own Oceanographic Information Systems (OIS) which interface with the shore based AIS.

* Homeland Security MsET Research Project
To meet the goals of MsET’s efforts at establishing and growing a “Homeland Defense Initiative” as a dynamic and innovative part of the Stennis Space Center MsET program, bringing together the physical and intellectual resources needed to address the needs of Homeland Defense with special emphasis on harbor, airport and coastline security, Motex Corporation provided several months worth of extensive research into the technical aspect of the project.

* Local Community Technical Services
For years, Motex has given back to the Gulf Coast Community at large, by providing indispensable technological services to a variety of business from Doctors’ Offices to Accounting Firms. These services include, but are not limited to; networking buildings from wiring to desktop setups and even secure wireless configurations, researching and providing applications specific to the individual needs of some companies, and general systems troubleshooting and repair.

* Multi-Domain Secure Computer (Sentinel)
To meet the needs of the Sentinel project, Motex Corporation supplied its customer, Delta Security Technologies, with a series of advanced firmware and hardware improvements leading to a solid and unique security product, which is soon to be fueling the security needs of multiple branches of the United States armed forces. Because Motex Corporation was a performer in the Sentinel’s early development, when the project was moved into production by Holocom Networks, Motex was again chosen to provide final modifications and consulting services to the Holocom production team.

* VA
Motex provided Security Control Assessments for the Veterans Affairs C&A/FISMA compliance initiative. During which, Motex provided testing and Assessments for Cisco Switches, Routers, Firewalls, and Wireless Configurations. Motex also performed assessment test procedures and interviews for NIST based policies for Operational, Technical, and Management Controls compliance. Motex provided thorough reviews of Hospital Security Compliance programs for HIPAA. C&A, FISMA per NIST SP 800-18, NIST SP 800-30, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-53A, NIST SP 800-60, FIPS Publication 199. This required the Auditing and Assessing (COOP, Disaster Recovery Plans, Business Continuity Plans, Manager Oversight of periodic Security and Governance Responsibility, Configuration Management, Prudent Operational Controls for employees, and Physical security of individual Hospitals.

* FEMA
Our most recent opportunity to excel as a project management organization came when FEMA chose Motex Corporation to handle the largest portion of the Gulf Coast’s post hurricane Katrina equipment tracking. This massive undertaking has allowed Motex to gain a great deal of recognition as a company capable of enacting the lossless storage and processing of massive amounts of information. Partnering up with Cytec, Motex has even managed to provide FEMA with a new plan for an advanced tracking system involving radar tagging equipment for speed and accuracy.
